A Love Story in Bloom at Snug Harbor Cultural Center & Botanical Garden

Some weddings feel grand. Some feel elegant. And some feel deeply meaningful — the kind where every detail carries history, family, and heart.

This beautiful wedding at Snug Harbor was exactly that.

Tucked away on Staten Island, the gardens felt like a hidden oasis. Historic buildings framed the walkways, flowers spilled over stone paths, and the trees filtered the sunlight into the softest golden glow. It felt peaceful and intimate — like the entire world had slowed down just for this celebration. As a photographer, it’s the kind of place you dream of shooting in: textures, greenery, architecture, and natural light everywhere you turn.

But what truly made this day unforgettable wasn’t just the scenery.

It was the traditions.

Honoring culture, honoring love

From the moment the day began, you could feel the presence of family and heritage woven into everything. The morning was filled with small but powerful rituals — elders offering blessings, meaningful jewelry passed down through generations, fabrics and colors chosen with intention.

I love photographing these moments because they tell a deeper story.

Anyone can capture a dress or a bouquet.
But photographing a mother fastening a traditional bracelet on her daughter?
Or a grandmother whispering a prayer before the ceremony?

That’s legacy. That’s history. That’s love that stretches beyond one day.

Those are the photos couples treasure forever.
